Description

He was drafted into teh army on February 3rd, 1941 and after the training he was attached to the 36th Division. He was Missing in Action from September 9th when he was captured in Italy. He was detained in Germany in Stalag 2B Hammerstein in West Prussia and was liberated in July 1945.
