Roscoe Aksamit attended schools in Jefferson and Thayer counties, graduated from Alexandria High School in 1936 and then attended Doane College.
He married Leahta L. Roker on April 4, 1943. Mr. Aksamit returned after WW II to Rawlins (Wyoming) and worked there as a brakeman. After retirement he lived with his family on farms and finally, they moved to Alexandria (1975).
He is buried in Wilber, Nebraska.
Roscoe Aksamit had a son, Robert R. and three granddaughters. His brother was James Aksamit.
