He joined the Air Force on 19th February 1943 and was first pilot in B-24 Liberator. He was injured on 1st February 1945 in Italy. He got missing on 8th March 1945 during the flight over Hungary. His aircraft was forced to leave the formation when flying over Bratislava, Czechslovakia, because of damage.
